Halloween traces back its origins to the Gaelic festival of Samhain, a harvest festival held on 31 October to mark the end of summer. Samhain became associated with All Saints (1 November) from the early Middle Ages and the two progressively merged over the centuries, creating Halloween.

Atlantic City Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Saturday March 14th, 2015   1pm

on the Atlantic City Boardwalk

The St. Patrick's Day Committee has announced the following activities related to the upcoming 30th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade set for Saturday, March 14th:

Beginning at 1 PM marchers will travel on the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk to Albany Avenue.

 

This year's Grand Marshal's are:

William and Michael McMenamin.

 

This year’s parade promises to be a festival of color, music and fun featuring marching bands from area high schools, string bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers and floats.

Local organizations including business owners from taverns, restaurants and bars such as Maynard’s Café, Ducktown Tavern, The Irish Pub, Kelly’s Corner, and McGettigan’s 19th Hole, will all be a part of the celebration.
